How to Make a Keto Pizza Dip
There's nothing easier than making this pizza dip. All you need to do is gather the ingredients, assemble everything into a baking dish, and bake it in the oven.
Here are the ingredients that you should prepare for this recipe:
- Cream cheese
- Sour cream
- Pepperoni
- Italian sausage
- Garlic powder
- No-salt herb seasoning
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella cheese
- Mushrooms
- Black olives
- Pepper
You'll need the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and herb seasoning for the bottom layer of the dish. And, of course, pepperoni is a must here.
Then you should add tomato sauce. I've tried many brands, but Rao's homemade roasted garlic sauce seems like the best option here.
You can use any type of shredded cheese - mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, etc. And the rest of the ingredients are optional.
It's totally up to you to decide how to assemble this keto pizza dip. However, I like to make this dip in layers, which is why I assemble it this way:
- Place the creamy sauce on the bottom of the baking pan.
- Then layer the pepperoni.
- Pour the tomato sauce on top.
- Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Top off with veggies and additional meat.
You should bake this keto pizza dip in your oven, but if you have an air fryer, you can definitely use it instead. Just preheat it to 400 degrees F and cook it for about 20-25 minutes (until the cheese completely melts and starts to brown a bit).
Ingredient Variations
If you want to make some changes to this keto pizza dip recipe but don't know yet what to change, here are some ingredient ideas that you can definitely add to this recipe:
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil
- Green olives
- Chili pepper
- Onion
- Shredded chicken
- Chopped green onions
- Crumbled feta cheese
Actually, you can add almost anything into it as long as it's a low-carb and keto-friendly ingredient. But keep in mind that any changes that you make may influence the nutritional value of the ready dish.
And if you want, you can spice up this keto pizza dip. Here's what you can add either into the creamy sauce or the marinara: dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, chili, red pepper flakes, dried basil, etc.
Serving Ideas
As I already mentioned, even if you're on a keto diet, there are lots of options for serving this low-carb pizza dip. Here are some of my favorite ones:
- Keto tortilla chips
- Pork rinds
- Cauliflower crackers
- Cheese crisps
- Keto bread
- Low-carb chips
- Almond flour crackers
Storing Tips
You can store the keto pizza dip leftovers in your refrigerator for up to 3 days. Just cover the baking dish with some food wrap and place it in your fridge. If you have to prep this pizza dip ahead and freeze it, you definitely can do that. To do this, prepare everything, assemble the pizza dip, and place it in the freezer without baking it. This way, you'll be able to store the dip for up to 2-3 months.
