Starbucks makes its own whipped cream in-house as part of the baristas’ daily prep. So you’re not crazy for obsessing over the freshness or creaminess of it. Homemade whipped cream is undeniably superior to store-bought stuff.

How Does Starbucks Make Their Whipped Cream?

You may be shocked to learn that Starbucks whipped cream only requires two simple ingredients—vanilla syrup and heavy cream.

While their process is streamlined because your Starbucks barista uses a whipped cream dispenser and charger, you can still make this whipped cream with just a whisk and a bowl. If the thought of whisking heavy whipping cream and vanilla together sounds tedious, you can always use a blender or KitchenAid.

Alternatively, you could also pick up some specific whipped cream dispensers to make it even more authentic to the stuff you’re used to at Starbucks.

How To Make Starbucks Whipped Cream at Home—4 Ways

Here are three ways you can make Starbucks whipped cream at home. They all require the same ingredients, and you can easily double the recipe to make more.

Best Store-Bought Options

If you aren’t wanting to go through the trouble of making your own homemade whipped cream as they do at Starbucks, you can still purchase some decent store-bought options. Here are our top three choices for store-bought whipped cream:

1. Land O’Lakes

Land O’Lakes has been perfecting its dairy game since 1921. What makes their whipped cream stand out against other store-bought brands is that their version doesn’t use water. This results in a firmer texture and creamier taste.

This brand also creates a fantastic sugar-free version for those watching their sugar intake!

2. Natural By Nature

Natural By Nature has perfected the balance between creating stellar products and utilizing sustainable farming practices. We also love that this product is found in most grocery stores and on Amazon.

3. Whole Foods 365 Brand

What we love most about the Whole Foods whipped cream is that it is made from only organic ingredients and is light and creamy. This whipped cream is perfect for those who prefer a whipped cream that is light yet full of flavor.
