There are so many different types of seafood to enjoy. Barbecued, grilled, fried, or raw like sashimi, it's all delicious, from shrimp, grouper, salmon, scallops, and, of course, salmon.

Some types of salmon have more potassium than others. I've listed the different types and their potassium contents per 100 grams below.

  • Atlantic - 363 mg
  • Chinook - 175 mg
  • Chum - 429 mg
  • Coho - 460 mg
  • Pink - 439 mg
  • Sockeye - 408 mg

The most commonly eaten are Atlantic and pink, and both contain a lot of potassium.

Invented in the 1970s, the salmon is cooked in a pan with oil and seasoning.
