How to prepare a pomegranate
Getting those delicious seeds out of the pomegranate is easy. Simply slice through the fruit, from top to bottom. If you want to eat it out of hand, I suggest slicing into quarters and using a toothpick, spoon, or your fingers to pick out the seeds.
If you are using pomegranate for a garnish, in a fruit salad or any other dish, you can slam the fruit, flat side facing down, onto the chopping board. Many of the seeds will fall out. To remove any remaining seeds, tap the pomegranate with a large spoon.
